Prayers for the Annunciation Feast

The Feast of the Annunciation commemorates the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary that she would conceive Jesus, and the conception of Jesus by the Holy Spirit at that moment. The feast is March 25th, 9 months before Jesus’ birth at Christmas. More Info: The Solemnity of the Annunciation
Catholic Opening Prayer for the Annunciation Feast

Let us pray,
[That Christ the Word made flesh,
will make us more like Him.]
God Our Father,
Your Word became Man
and was born of the Virgin Mary.
May we become more like Jesus Christ,
whom we acknowledge as our Redeemer, God and man.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
New Saint Joseph Weekday Missal

Catholic Alternate Collect for the Annunciation Feast
Let us pray,
[That we may become more like Christ,
who chose to become one of us.]
Almighty Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
You have revealed the beauty of your power
by exalting the lowly virgin of Nazareth
and making her the mother of our Savior.
May the prayers of this woman
bring Jesus to the waiting world
and fill the void of incompletion
with the presence of her child,
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit
one God forever and ever. Amen
New Saint Joseph Weekday Missal

The Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed
is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Orthodox Annunciation Prayer
Lord who came down from heaven
and stayed in the womb of St. Mary,
after making the annunciation
to her through his head of angels, is blessed.
The Lord is blessed whom the heaven and earth,
Angels and mankind are praising always.
Oh Lord let the intercession of your mother
be a fort for us all.

Peace be unto thee,
Mother of the Sun of righteousness.
Peace be unto thee, the palace of holiness,
Peace be unto thee the ship full of blessings,
the fruit of your virginity is blessed,
Holy Mother please pray for us,
so that we would also be holy like you in our lives.
Lord have mercy upon us.

Lord Jesus,
who was kind enough
to take the presence in humble virgin,
kindly live in us
and redeem us from the strong bondages of sins and death.
Lord make us good and worthy divine homes,
so that you could stay in us.

Lord who had been kind enough
to take the human body from the virgin,
unite us all in your peace.
Unite us all with your grace.
Fill your love in us
so that we could share the love
with you and among us all.
Make us worthy to praise thee
with your blessed Mother and all the saints.

Holy virgin Mother, you are blessed,
By thy prayers
let the Holy church and her children
be saved from all sorts of calamities
and let all the departed get forgiveness for their sins.
Amen.

Annunciation Prayer for Faith
Lord Jesus Christ,
Eternal Word,
You became Incarnate as man
in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
You, through whom the universe was created,
began your earthly course,
in the womb of a humble and chaste Virgin.
At the annunciation of this miracle,
Mary responded in faith:
“let it be done to me
according to your word.”
May we who are made new creatures
by your grace,
respond with such faith,
when you call us to your service. Amen

Prayer From the Mozarabic Liturgy
We believe thee to be full of grace,
O glorious Mary,
Virgin Mother of Christ,
and reparatrix of mankind!
Great indeed are the blessings
thou hast conferred on us by giving him birth:
for the Fruit of thy womb,
Christ the Son of God,
hath delivered us
from the tyranny of our cruel enemy,
and hath made us companions
in the eternal kingdom.
Be thou, therefore,
we beseech thee, our advocate;
that through thy merits,
thy Son may set us free from our sins,
and after this life,
give us to reign forever in his kingdom.
Grant that he, who out of love for thee,
called thee to be his Mother,
may grant unto us
the rich sweetness of his love. Amen.

A Catholic Collect for the Annunciation Feast
O God
Who didst please that at the message of an Angel
Thy Word should take flesh in the womb
of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
grant unto Thy suppliants,
that we who believe her to be
truly the mother of God
may be aided by her intercession before Thee
Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen
